Hi, I’m Yu Yasui. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I am currently working at Sumitomo Rubber AKO located in Cankiri, Turkey as a Japanese-Turkish interpreter since September 2019.
I have been in Turkey since 2016 and have C1 level of Turkish proficiency exam.
I learned Turkish language at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies between 2010-2015. Also I studied Turkish language and literature at Ankara University as a exchange student during 2012-2013.
After graduating from a university, I have worked at a Japanese consulting firm specialized in healthcare managements for about a year. While I was involved in survey projects on hospitals in Turkey, I have also experienced in translation and interpretation between Turkish and Japanese.
In 2016, I won a ‘Turkiye Burslari’ scholarship provided by Turkish government and started a master’s program of Turkish studies at Hacettepe University in Ankara. I successfully finished a master’s program in July 2019 and got a degree of M.A. in Turkish Studies.
