I was asked to complete a Multimedia Presentation for CD-ROM. The project requirements were as follows:
-NO PowerPoint; the client felt that PowerPoint had been done to death.
-Complete Cross-platform playback capability.
the operational/technical parameters that I was given to create were as follows:
-No Hybrid CD-ROM recording capacity (the "burner" was on a PC).
-Director 7 was only on said PC.
-Infini-D, Flash, and Premiere were on the Mac.
My solution was to create a Web Site residing on the CD with Shockwave, Flash, and QuickTime embedded in the site and pertinent information linked to the site in the form of layout-preserving, hi-res, printable PDF files.
This project incorporated the uses of Director, Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, Infini-D, Premiere, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, PageMaker, and Acrobat.
