I invent and develop mechanical products from the ground up. This is not CAD drafting for an idea that is already finalized. I work through the engineering problem myself, researching existing mechanisms and competing products, building out multiple viable concepts, and testing each one against reliability, ease of use, and manufacturability before committing to a direction.
My core strengths are linkages, trigger mechanisms, spring-loaded assemblies, and cable-actuated systems. I look for failure points before money is spent on tooling, weigh the trade-offs between competing approaches honestly, and recommend the concept most likely to hold up in real use. Sketches or basic CAD support the concepts where needed. When a project moves into prototyping, I can build or supervise proof-of-concept units and run the mechanical testing myself.

3 Wire Stripper with Depth Memory — Spring-indexed collar mechanically retains last-used gauge setting, purely mechanical, low part count, DFM-friendly.
4 One-Hand Jar/Bottle Opener — Ratcheting jaw band tightens progressively, single lever pull applies twist torque. Designed for limited-grip users.
5 Rope/Zip-line Tensioner — Cable-actuated cam-cleat tensions on trigger squeeze, fail-safe two-step release prevents accidental slip.
6 Caulk Tube Cutter-Applicator — Integrated punch-cut head trims nozzle angle, spring-return plunger assists consistent bead flow. Combines 3 tools into 1.
