As both a fine art and a commercial photographer I bring a high level of creative professionalism and technical knowledge to the project at hand. I began my formal study in fine art photography at The University of North Carolina in Greensboro then continued on to finish my technical education at Randolph Community College where I recieved an A.A.S. in Photographic Technology. I consider myself lucky in that I began photography before the shift to digital and the darkroom is where I feel in love with and learned the craft. I still love to shoot film as well as pixels and believe each has it's own merits.
Some of the people I have photographed include Tift Merritt, Loudon Wainwright III, Gallager, Billy Corgan, Doc Watson, King Richard Petty and three North Carolina Governors; Terry Sanford, Jim Hunt and Mike Easley. My work has appeared in a variety of publications including No Depression, Psychology Today, Magnet, The Independent Weekly, Creative Loafing, Mountain Xpress and Guitar Pl
