I started programming in high-school, but really started in 2000 doing back-end web development in Perl for the JHU Press, Project MUSE. While at Johns Hopkins, I worked on many projects, among them analyzing gigabytes of data in MATLAB and controlling a surgical robotic system in C. While in graduate school at Carnegie Mellon University I worked on projects including writing code for finite element analysis software, and analyzing 3D fMRI image data.
