I love to translate. Finding a way to express a complex idea or concept in another language is a challenging yet extremely rewarding pursuit. I aspire to develop that ability. Despite long hours that I have to devote to my studies, I always try to develop my feeling of English language by reading books about exciting ideas or brilliant people. This week it is Sam Walton’s autobiography Made in America; last week it was Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. I have also written and translated a number of articles for my organization’s website. That has allowed me to preserve my Russian written skills as good as possible.Finally, after I plan to work in the consulting business after I graduate in one year. That means doing long hours, meeting high expectations, and making tough clients happy. And there’s no reason why I shouldn’t start doing that now.
