Hello!
As a social media marketer with a BBA in Marketing, I'll help you conquer the social platforms. My specialty platforms are Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Youtube. I personally manage my client's social media accounts and develop a marketing strategy for a specific campaign and/or a specific quarter.
Each client is different. Before working together, I will need to understand your needs, your goals, and your budget. This way, each strategy is custom built for every client.
A social media marketing strategy might include a combination of the following:
- Defining your target market.
Who is your audience? What's their demographic? What are their interests? My job is to help you discover who your audience is. Which consumers are interested in what you have to offer as a company or individual and strategize around them.
2. Where does your target market live? In which platform they thrive?
People around the ages of 18-29 years old have heavy Facebook and Instagram usage. People around the ages of 50-64 years old thrive on Facebook, not so much Instagram. People over 65+ years old also prefer Facebook, though their usage is significantly lower than the previous group. My job is to help you find your target market successfully so you can start connecting and creating a conversation with your audience.
3. Choose your platform(s).
"I want to be on every social media platform. Can you help me?" This is one of the most common phrases I always get when talking to a new client. With so many social media platforms and such varying content required for each one individually, the reality is that less is more. By specializing in only 1 or 2 platforms, your content's quality is so much better and the connections you make will also be. Once you've mastered and established yourself in that one platform where your audience lives, then you can populate other platforms successfully. How? That audience that is already following your every move will want to follow you as you cross over to your next platform. This gives you incredible presence right from the beginning, attracting an even bigger audience.
4. Create content.
Content should always serve a purpose. There should be intent behind every post. What do you want to achieve? How fast? What's your tone when talking to your audience? I help you create relevant and creative original content by keeping your goals as the north of every post.
These were some examples to help you understand what is required out of your social media content creator and platform manager. I haven't even gone into website design, UX (user experience), smart landing pages, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), metrics, scheduling, aesthetic, branding, or email marketing.
Like you already know, it's a lot. That's why you're here and I'm glad you are! Seeking out help from someone who understands the social media environment is your first step towards online growth.
