I am a CICS and IBM Mainframe assembler language guru. I started programming in 1966. I've worked with every release of CICS since DOS/Entry. I've coded CICS GLUEs, TRUEs, and even (prior to CICS/ESA) customized CICS management modules to support non-IBM devices. From mid-1968 through mid-1971, I served in the US Army. I went through Officer's Candidate School and was commisioned a 2nd Lt, Infantry. I spent 1 year overseas in combat, another year stateside doing programming (war gaming), and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lt. Prior to joining Compuware in 1985, I had spent the prior year as manager of Systems & Programming (Detroit region) for a banking organization that later consolidated all DP into it's Western Michigan HQ. I left them rather than relocate my family.
