I have been transcribing professionally for over 30 years. All of my transcribing is done manually, I never use voice recognition software and I do not outsource my work; everything is done in house by my hand. I was a Senior Legal Secretary before I became a freelance transcriber and have a bachelor’s degree in English. My typing speed is 90+ wpm with 98% accuracy before proofing. I have excellent listening skills. I understand most accents and can differentiate between many speakers at once. I am highly proficient in grammar, parts of speech, and the correct use of punctuation. I absolutely LOVE what I do, and I pride myself on my high work ethic, attention to detail, and drive to deliver an exceptional work product. Since this is my full-time profession, I am available to start immediately and am very flexible working evenings and weekends if needed.
