We are redoing our websites are updating all images. Those now on our webs were added years ago. Download speed was then a major consideration, so the images are small and compressed. We are replacing them with larger images that are not compressed. We receive excellent photographs from our vendors. Generally they are in CMYK format, either in TIF or EPS format at 300 dpi. Most of the products are shown on a colored background. We need the following done: 1. Convert Image to RGB format. 2. Resize image to 72 dpi and enlarge it so that the file size is as close to the original file size as possible. For example, the original may be 300 dpi x 5" x 7" for a total of 8.5 megs. A typical conversion would make it 72 dpi x 15" 21" at 8.4 megs 3. Remove colored background and replace with white background. This will us keep consistency between products from different vendors. We use Photoshop. We enlarge the image and then do the edges with the brush tool set at 5 to 9 pixels. This results in a soft edge. With the picture thus outlined, we then use the pencil tool at various sizes to clean up the rest of the background. Some of the pictures are already on a white background, so all we have to is eliminate the drop shadow. We have so converted hundreds of pictures. We find that most can be done in under 15 minutes, but some are more complex and take longer. Some are very simple and can be done in five minutes. We have several hundred images to process over the next few months and would like to farm it out so that we can spend our time on other things. We will provide the images in bulk, either on CD or in a zip file that can be downloaded from one of our webs. We will send spreadsheets listing the pictures we want and the order we want them. There is no rush on anything, so this can be used as a time-available filler job, as long as we can maintain a reasonable flow of images. We have no idea of how may images there may be at this point, but the first batch will contain at least 100. There may be 500 or more over the months to come. Check our feedback on Guru. You will find that we pay very quick. Guru shows an average time of 3 days, but that is misleading as during the first year, we paid by mailed check and delivery often took a week. Our procedure now is that an artist sends us an invoice on Monday morning listing what was done during the previous week. We double check everything with a couple of hours and then instruct the artist to post the invoice to Guru. We now pay through Guru generally pay the same day the invoice is receive, or, if it is received late, the next day. Guru will not permit a bid of less than $25 and these images should certainly run less than that. Because of the Guru limitation, please quote for 10 images at a time. Be sure to confirm that in your bid. I have attached a typical picture. As Guru limits upload size to 2 megs, this picture has already been converted to jpg. Thanks Marv . Show less
