Academic writer and proofreader

$20/hr Starting at $25

Besides of my analytical skills, typical of the scientific world (I am going to start studying Medical Bioscience at the Imperial College of London this autumn), creativity is one of the main features within my personality. This is unceasingly fuelled by the numerous interests I cultivate, first of all, writing and linguistics. Adding to the ancient languages (Latin and Greek), of which I am a passionate translator and adapter, I have attended a year-long Japanese course at the centre of Oriental Studies in my city and I also enjoy reading and studying both English and Italian literature. Although I might lack a little bit of practical experience, I undoubtedly possess some of the characteristics that would make me a good choice; I am serious, reliable and my perfectionist stroke makes me willing to go out of my comfort zone and try to do my very best in everything I do. I am curious and firmly convinced that one must never stop learning, so I will always push my boundaries and tackle every challenge with enthusiasm and personality. My main areas of interest are Classics and Biology (especially Genetics) but I'm also used to proofread and write argumentative texts and both non-fiction and fiction. Moreover, I can translate and proofread Italian texts too, and I would be glad to help any Italian struggling with the language get to grips with English for academic purposes (and not), even with tutorials, if required. I've had teaching experiences at high school in the context of preparatory courses to introduce Latin and Ancient Greek to Secondary School pupils as well as in a project that combined the teaching of English with Latin. Therefore I'm very patient and especially used to the linguistic approach in education.
