I am a lawyer with a great interest in legal research on a diversity of topics including the arts, literature, Political Science, Music and the Law. I was a student at Kenyatta University where I pursued my Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) degree. I then completed the Advocates Training Programme at the Kenya School of Law in November 2015. I went on to complete my pupillage in September 2016 and I am currently awaiting admission to the bar. I have all-rounded experience in the legal field, having worked in law firms, including Ng’ang’a Ngigi & Co. Advocates, Mbiyu Kamau & Co. Advocates, Mbugua Ng’ang’a & Co. Advocates and Njoroge Kugwa & Co. Advocates; in the government under the Ministry of Devolution and Planning; and in a Non-Governmental Organization, that is the Refugee Consortium of Kenya. I have also worked as a psychosocial counselor in both the Refugee Consortium of Kenya and Thika Nursing Home. During my study at the Kenya School of Law and my various internships, I attained a diversity of skills including legal writing and drafting, legal research, property and land law, conveyancing and real estate management, commercial, labour and employment law, civil and criminal litigation, advocacy, professional ethics, police intervention, court attendance, legal management skills, office management skills, data entry and management, compilation of reports, and anti-fraud training. While working with refugees, asylum seekers and Internally Displaced Persons, I was able to foresee the urgency in provision of medical care and with this idea in mind, I was able to plan, carry out research on and oversee the establishment of a VCT center for refugees at Eastleigh, Nairobi. I also assisted on the compilation and research of the Monitoring Report on Operation Sanitization at Eastleigh, Nairobi a.k.a “Usalama Watch” by Independent Policing Oversight Authority (I.P.O.A) in July 2014 which brought to light issues on good governance, the role of the police, arbitrary arrests, unlawful arrests and detentions. I have carried out sufficient research on various fields of law such as Discrimination of Women in Leadership and Devolution in Kenya. I have attached my work to this application. The content of this research can be found on academic platforms and has been referred to by more than 100 researchers both locally and internationally. In addition to that, I have good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent research abilities and computer proficiency as well as supervisory experience. I am always ready and willing to learn, and gain professional as well as personal experience. I would like to mention that nothing would make me more excited and fulfilled than working tirelessly to ensure that this your course work and assignments are completed successfully and in good time. i have worked in several online writing firms and thus I believe my research work will be an asset to you. You'll not be disappointed by my good capability.
