I enjoy application development. I worked 19 years with Singapore Airlines, developed system for 30+ AS/400s installed worldwide. I am a full time employee with a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company in Los Angeles, making a transition into more freelance work. I setup Information Center for at my work place, which brings together data from Oracle, DB/2, SQL Server and Excel files. This data is consolidated via SQL stored procedures into SQL Server database. I train and support power users to run ad-hoc queries and develop Excel VBA solutions for their daily operations. There is no additional software license and with no increase on IT head count; by empowering our end users, we improved our production fulfillment rate from 40% to 90%.
