How about the insane trend of gas prices skyrocketing seemingly, and sometimes literally, overnight giving drivers everywhere agita.

As a way of trying to ease the financial pain of that particular story, there were nearly 80 gas stations in North, Central, and South Jersey who set out to lower prices for one day as a way of helping bring attention and awareness to how much lower gas prices could be for everyone if lawmakers in Trenton instituted self-serve gas as at least an option in New Jersey.

On top of that, many moms and dads are trying to find baby formula after a big problem with a shortage and recall this week.

There was a lot that happened this week.

10. No serious injuries in two bus crashes

There were a couple of scary accidents involving school buses this week but thankfully, serious injury was avoided. On Wednesday, a bus rear ended another vehicle which hit the vehicle in front of it in Vineland. In Jackson that same day, a school bus rear ended a dump truck on Toms River Road. The truck had stopped short, police said, so that it wouldn't hit the vehicle that pulled out in front of it.

9. Two teens steal vehicle from Asbury Park

Two teens who were reported missing were arrested in Jackson Township after police learned that they had stolen a vehicle from Asbury Park. They were also charged with giving false names.

8. Toms River Police search for attempted home burglars

Toms River Police are searching for two suspects who tried entering a locked home and then a locked vehicle on Vincenzo Drive. Anyone with information should call Toms River Police.

7. Two out of state contractors plead guilty to Sandy related theft

John Bishop, 57, of Celebration, Florida and Paul Rueda, 50, San Diego, Texas pleaded guilty this week to getting into contracts with homeowners who needed repairs following Superstorm Sandy and then doing little to no work while taking in the money paid to them for the work.

6. $80,000 vehicle stolen from driveway in Jackson after home burglary

Jackson Police received a call early in the week about a home burglary where suspects went in through the unlocked garage, an unlocked inside door, and then rummaged through kitchen drawers ultimately stealing a purse and everything in it along with keys to an 2020 Audi Q8 and then driving off in it. Anyone with information on the vehicle's whereabouts should call Jackson Police

5. Urgent Need for Blood Donors

The New Jersey chapter of the American Red Cross has issued an urgent call for blood donors with all types of blood needed ahead of the summer months. They've even offered incentives in terms of a gift card and a raffle.
