The body of a man who has been missing since a boat he was on with 12 other people capsized on Lake Pueblo over the weekend was recovered early Tuesday, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials said.

Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter identified him as Joshua Prindle, 30, of Pueblo West.

His body was found by CPW's Marine Evidence Recovery Team in 107 feet of water along the north shore of Lake Pueblo State Park, CPW said in a statement.

A woman whose body was pulled from the waters of Lake Pueblo immediately after the accident was identified Monday by Cotter as Jessica Prindle, 38, of Pueblo West.

"The two victims... are husband and wife," Cotter said on Twitter.

Officials at Fort Carson told the Chieftain's news partner KRDO News Channel 13 that a 4th Infantry Division soldier and his spouse were part of the group involved in the  boating accident, but they did not name the couple.

More: Woman who died when boat capsized on Lake Pueblo identified, one adult still missing.

Boat recovered

The boat that overturned, tipping its 13 passengers into the cold waters of the reservoir, was also recovered Tuesday morning, according to a Chieftain reporter who saw the vessel being pulled from Lake Pueblo.

The boat, which CPW spokesman Travis Duncan said was a Sea Ray with a capacity for six to seven passengers, was carrying eight children and five adults when it capsized at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday as strong winds battered Pueblo County.

All eight children along with three adults were rescued soon after the accident, but the body of Jessica Prindle was pulled from the water by CPW rangers, and a male passenger — now known to be Joshua Prindle — was reported missing.

Neither was wearing a life jacket, Duncan said.

If an autopsy shows that if either victim drowned, it would be the eighth drowning in Colorado in 2022, CPW said.
