I create original illustrations for children’s books. I illustrate digitally with the help of a Wacom Tablet and professional software (Adobe Photoshop), although, the initial sketches and character designs are done traditionally, with a pencil and paper. One of the things I care most about in children's books illustration is the idea of striving for excellence. This is how I work: 1. We meet each other face-to-face. I will ask you some questions and we will agree on a brief for the project 2. Based on the brief, I will create thumbnail sketches for each illustration in the book. This will give an overview of what type of illustrations are needed and context. You review and approve them. 3. I will create the character designs based on the brief. This is important to stay true to the book’s essence and keep characters consistent. You review and approve them. 4. Afterwards I work on the illustration sketches based on the brief, at a smaller scale. You review and approve them. 5. I will make the values studies for the illustrations, according to the light source and color compositions - at a smaller scale than the actual illustration. You review and approve the color compositions. 6. I will create the final illustrations, at high resolution, according to the previous feedback and approvals. What I can do for you: 1.
