My legal practice is focused on serving growth companies throughout the venture capital life cycle - from start-ups to public companies – with respect to the key areas of business law: corporate, securities, business combinations and commercial transactions. I also assist managers and investment advisors in forming private investment funds, including hedge, venture capital, real estate, natural resources and private equity funds, provide advice with respect to securities regulation and assist in raising capital. I have experience of domestic and international M&A and finance transactions, and have advised issuers as well as investment funds with regard to U.S. and Canadian securities regulation. I also previously worked as general counsel of a public technology company. I have helped more than a few manufacturing, mining and technology companies close a financing or commercial transaction.
