Mohammad Rasheed Noorani was born in a small coastal city “Khorramshahr” in the south coast of Iran and later settled in Tehran of Pahlavi era where his formative and basic education took place. He has a law degree and a Masters in English Literature and been working with many educational and cultural organizations in Pakistan and abroad for the past 30 years.  For more than a decade he has managed the Continuing Education Programme at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and is known as the pioneer of CE programs in Pakistan’s educational circles. While at the helm in IVS, he innovatively launched over 20 short courses and 10 diploma programs in the fields of Art and Design.  He has taught elective courses on the relationship between Mawlana Rumi and Shams Tabrizi.  His interest in philosophy and philosophical expressions makes his writing and training sessions very different and yet lucid and practical.  As a writer he has been contributing to a lot of periodicals both in Pakistan and abroad.

As a trainer, he has a very firm grip on the practical manifestations of performance enhancement sciences such as NLP.  Creating Anchors, Roadmaps and Planning Scenarios are some of the things he does with exceptional ease. His training and counselling sessions on Career Guidance, Leadership, Motivation and Communication skills are the most sought after. He is also an avid researcher on Rumi and Sufism and use of rumination and related stories in training.  Having a complete command over Persian language he drives a lot of material from classical Persian poetry and literature to create awareness with a touch of mystic aura among his audiences. 

His grip on digital and visual media and film studies specifically minimalist cinema of Iran and National cinemas around the world are topics of interest for academics delving into the nature and function of post-colonial agency.
