No matter how inspired its author, a creative piece always benefits from a second pair of eyes. In my years as a writing instructor, I've provided guidance and feedback to storytellers, essayists, memoirists and poets looking to improve their skill and put a finishing polish on their work. I read for clarity, rhythm, and consistency; as well as spelling, grammar, and flow--and do it all with a sensitive touch. My philosophy is centered on building up rather than tearing down; an aim I accomplish by supporting that which is already working in a piece, while still providing necessary critical feedback.
