I hold an MFA in Writing from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky and a BA in English from The Ohio State University. I have a creative mind, sense of humor and an easy-going personality. When not writing fiction, I critique and edit manuscripts and teach writing at the university level. Through novels, short stories, articles and essays, massaging language is my forte. I can line edit to achieve a polished product, and I can provide feedback concerning structure, characterization, tension within the narrative arc, the blend of summary and scene, pacing, dialogue, and the placement of sensory details to effectively ground the reader in time and place.
