My most recent project work involved RDBMS migration, where I was responsible for script writing, partitioning/data reshaping, PL/PGSQL script writing, data migration over DB links, application testing, and support. I have also utilized automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet for deployment purposes. I have experience working with various cloud technologies such as AWS. Agile methodology is the standard practice during my involvement in different projects.

I have worked with various RDBMS flavours including open-source PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as proprietary databases such as Oracle and SQL Server. Additionally, I have experience working with noSQL technologies such as MongoDB.

Throughout my career, I have been involved in a range of database-related projects and management tasks such as database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and script writing using Bash, Shell, and Python. I am proficient in procedural languages such as PL PGSQL & PL/SQL, and have experience with backup and recovery/DR solutions such as streaming replication and Data Guard.

Security is a top priority for me, and I have implemented security measures at both the RDBMS and noSQL layer, including user creation and row-level security. I have also provided availability/DR solutions for DB-related applications and have worked on various DB migration/upgrade projects from Oracle to PostgreSQL and hardware upgrade projects. Linux/Unix is the preferred operating system for most of my projects/organizations.

I hold an MSC in Computer Sciences and am an Oracle certified professional.
