Cybersecurity experts have warned users of the "Google Chrome" browser about dangerous applications that provide additional features to the browser when installed, but at the same time they can steal your credit card. And Kaspersky published on its official blog, an explanation in which it said: "We discovered a few dozen harmful plug-ins in the Chrome web store (the official browser extensions store for Google Chrome). The total download of these plug-ins amounted to about 87 million times." Browser extensions are small programs to customize your web browser and give it additional features and functions. Browsers typically allow a variety of such extensions, including user interface modifications, ad blocking, and cookie management. And cybersecurity researcher Vladimir Palant discovered that there are 34 bogus extensions that could put users' devices at risk. Experts advise that you should check your device to remove it quickly, especially since it has been available for installation for several months. Kaspersky blog said: "As a rule, browser plug-ins ask for consent to view and change all your data on all sites. That is, they see everything you do on all sites you visit, and they can arbitrarily change the content of the displayed page." And the creators of these extensions can steal your credit card details, collect your data, and make ads bombard you, according to a report by the British newspaper The Sun.
