I have 7+ years of experience maintaining Linux based setups, mostly Ubuntu OS. Last 3 years I have worked extensively on AWS designing and implementing fault taulerant and highly available infrastructure. I have worked on very high throughput system where the traffic went as much as 1M tps. The stack I have dealt with is Nginx/Passeneger/Rails and Apache/PHP/CodeIgniter. I have also worked as a DBA managing MySQL and MongoDB for a year. The job included working on backups, monitoring and scaling of databases. Ruby is my prefered choice of language for scripting.
