Conduct nutrition assessment, evaluation & intervention of children & adults with IDD like: ? metabolic disorders (phenylketonuria PKU) ? genetic disorders (Down syndrome or Trisomy 21, Prader Willi Syndrome) ? neurodevelopmental disorders (Autism) ? neuromuscular disorders (cerebral palsy) ? traumatic brain injury ? Nutritional assessment & intervention of co morbidities associated with IDD ? Celiac disease, sensory impairments (visual, tactile, processing, etc), motor impairments, dysphasia, communication disorders, mental health and behavioral concerns, seizure disorders, diabetes, malnutrition ? Provide active nutritional oversight to the Nutrition Services Department regarding menu, recipe development, production and spreadsheets for modified and therapeutic diets ? Train staff in various departments as it relates to the nutritional care. ? Provide hands-on nutrition care training and act as a nutritional adviser for Care Providers ? Revise multi-seasonal patient menu, therapeutic diet e.g. Casein free, Gluten Free, Texture modified, Ketogenic, Sensory diet - Have been involved in the dietary treatment of diseases related to urology, nephrology, gastro- hepatology, oncology, cardiology; as well as post surgical patients. - Managing Enteral and Parenteral nutrition. - Planning diets for health-conditions like diabetes, hypertension, gout, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi, gall stones, CVD, hyperthyroidism, hepatitis, hypercholesterolaemia, hyperlipidemia, Celiac disease, Lactose intolerance and Wilson’s disease, etc. - Conducted visitation, assessment, intervention and multidisciplinary liaison relating to assigned in-patients commencing within 24 hours. - Conducted in-patient Ward rounds with Team of General Surgery and recommended diet therapy as per need bases. - Therapeutic diet planning for out-patients. - Dietary management & Nutritional assessment of post & pre-renal transplant patients. - Assess nutritional status of patients and healthy people (of all ages). - Dietary management of Lifestyle disorders, Weight Management, Paediatric Faltering Growth, Paediatric Nephrology, Paediatric Urology etc. - Provision of nutritional education to care givers regarding maternal & paediatric diet. - Training and supervision of trainee dietitians. - Supervising activities of workers engaged in food preparation services. - Developing patient information handouts and brochures. - Training & educating nursing school students.
