I have an MSc in finance and insurance maths. I'm also a programmer and statistician. I've been working with data for approximately 15 years now. Some 4 years ago I worked for the London Stock Exchange. I'm a very experienced SQL Server professional. I'm a DAX and T-SQL expert. Over the years I've invested heavily in the knowledge of the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) as well as Power BI. I have successfully developed and deployed many data-centric solutions in the companies I've worked for. One of the bigger projects was to build a full-fledged system for fraud detection using SQL databases and Machine Learning. Another one was to build a fast tabular cube to serve as the main point of reference for all metrics in the company (Planet). The cube has been so successful the company is now selling its calculations to the merchants with which Planet has relationships (thousands of them). I took the ownership of the 2 projects and led them from the inital phases (stakeholders' meetings and brainstorming) through to the very end (deployment and maintenance). My solutions have always been complete in the sense that they were correct, fast and easily maintainable. I don't waste time on going back and fixing bugs because code, once released, should just work. And mine does. Since I'm a mathematician, my employers can always count on my extraordinary attention to detail. And for a programmer, this attention can and does make a whole world of difference.
