In the assembly of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government, deputies fought. During the parliamentary session, the activities of the High Election Commission were discussed. Masud Barazni broke out in a debate between the deputies of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). Bafl Talabani led the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).

A fistfight broke out between the deputies of the two parties as the debate heated up. Due to the goods being thrown on the table, a few deputies and journalists received minor injuries.

The session was reportedly postponed until further notice following the altercation.
