  • SME Coaching and Mentorship-Training and Mentorship of Entrepreneurial ventures to get the best results of their businesses
  • Auditing- An experienced internal auditor with experience in evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of accounting systems, detecting weaknesses in the impact of accounting, Preparation of interim and final audits and Preparation of findings that have originated from an Internal Audit
  • Financial skills- Competent in verifying preparing financial statements, reports and recording all financial transactions and analysing financial budgets and other financial information and recommending financial options.
  • Accounting skills- Skilled in handling general and complex accounting principles for example bank reconciliations, the general ledgers and balancing of accounts, managing cash flows, handling accounts payables and accounts receivables, verification of accounts documents among other accounting roles. I am also a certified public accountant.
  • Budgetary planning: Experienced in taking part in budget planning and ensure that the expenditures are as per the budget lines.
  • Risk Assessment: Successfully designed a systems control strategy to promote cost effective management of operational, financial and regulatory compliance risk. I also managed to design and implement security approaches that protect the integrity of financial information and enforce controls such as segregation of duties.
  • Supervision and leadership- Ability and experience in managing a team of financial accountants, motivating, mentoring them and ensuring that they take responsibility for their work.
  • Detail oriented: Keenly attentive to details and captures all the valuable data in terms of cost monitoring and compilation of detailed financial reports and ensuring the implementation of the financial policies and ensuring full compliance of financial processes with International Accounting Standards and International financial reporting standards
  • Communications and Interpersonal skills- Good command of the English language and Swahili language with great listening skills exercised in my experience in working in operations, relating well with those under my supervision, understanding their needs and improving relations among them.
  • ICT Competency: Proficient in windows environment, competent in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and accounting software such as Quick Books, Navision, Syspro, Pastel, Sage evolution and Business Sap 1   
  • Expert Excel user (advanced formula functions, VBA coding, database query/link).
  • Familiar and comfortable with large data sets and use of data management systems and tools (SQL, access, etc.)
