I have successfully raised over 423.5 m in state, federal, foundation, international health, social services, education and business grants during my over 40 yrs in the field. (See my attachments for list of grants funded) One of my major strengths is that I have the ability to bring together my extensive academic, professional, and experiential background to respond to a variety of writing job requests. This allows me to easily transition into both the non-profit and private business sectors. I have a PhD in Neuro-Psychology, specializing in cognitive learning & development: the process on how individuals learn, process and utilize information. Other areas of study include Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, HIV, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Special Education and Women's Issues. I am familiar with the required state, federal and foundation grant guidelines and criteria. I have developed and taught a CDC Grant Writing Training & Technical Assistance program to over 6,000 state and local Health Department and Social Services staff to enable them to write successful grants and assure that their agencies are Grant Ready. I provide clients with a complementary Grant Readiness Assessment to determine that they are in the best position to be eligible to receive and implement a successful grant. This assures that do not waste their resources on grant seeking until they eligible. These services also can be provided as a part of services rendered. For example, if a client is seeking a federal grant they must first apply to the federal government for a SAMS number and complete a DUNS application prior to a grant application. SAMS is a unique identifying number which must be submitted prior to a federal application. DUNS is a credit designation which provides the federal government with background and credit information to assure that a potential grantee will be able to fiscally manage federal monies received. I have access to two separate grant search engines to assist clients in finding the right grants and finacial resurces for funding in addition to an extensive personal network of resources gained in my years in the field.
