I have edited the copy for two academic books: for Pine Forge Press, the second edition of Aging, The Social Context and for Brandeis University and POLIN, a book in press at the Nebraska University Press on the history of Poland. I have also edited a doctoral dissertation for a student at Boston University and articles for POLIN and other academic journals. My grant writing experience includes two years on the staff of Crittenton Hastings House in Boston, where I researched new private foundation and corporate grant prospects and wrote proposals for foundation grants and public contracts. At Crittenton I was responsible for $770,255 in private grant revenues, including three $100,000 grants from private foundations. I have also worked as a freelance grantwriter for several non-profits over a period of five years. As an academic, I developed expertise in primary source research and in writing for a variety of audiences.
