The hadiths of the Prophet about patience

1 - It was narrated that - the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said: (No illness, fatigue, sickness, or sadness befalls a believer, not even anxiety concerns him, but that some of his sins are expiated for him)

2 - Al-Bukhari narrated with an authentic chain of narrators that - the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - said: “There is no calamity that befalls a Muslim but that God expiates him for it, even a thorn pricks him.”

3- It was narrated that the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said:

4- The Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - also said in another narration: (The greatness of the reward comes with the greatness of the calamity, and that God Almighty, if He loves a people, He afflicts them, so whoever is satisfied, he will be satisfied, and whoever is displeased, he will have anger)

5- It was narrated that the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said: (The affliction will continue to befall a believing man and a believing woman in himself, his children, and his money until he meets God, the Most High, and there is no sin on him).

6- It was narrated in the Sahih on the authority of the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - that he said: (If a servant precedes him in a position with God that he has not reached by his deed, God afflicts him with regard to his body, his money, or his children, then he is patient with that until he reaches the status that preceded him from God)

7- It was narrated in the Sahih on the authority of Saad bin Abi Waqqas - may God be pleased with him - that he said: (I said, O Messenger of God, which of the people is the most severe affliction? He said the prophets, then the next example, then the next example; His religion is meekness. He is afflicted according to the extent of his religion, so the affliction does not leave the servant until he leaves him walking on the earth, and he has no sin on him.

8- The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (How amazing is the affair of the believer, for all his affair is good for him, and that is not up to anyone except for the believer.

9- It was narrated that Abu Saeed Al-Khudri - may God be pleased with him - said: “People from the Ansar asked the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - and he gave them, then they asked him and he gave them until he ran out of what he had. On your behalf, and he who abstains, God will pardon, and he who does not seek, God will enrich him, and he who is patient, God will make him patient, and no one has been given a gift that is better and broader than patience.
