Experience with Oracle Database 10g/11g • Creating Domains and Projects. • Applying new updates on system and applications ( • Backup and restore, capacity, security, application access , privileges • Miscellaneous tasks like renaming a project etc. • Project back up, exporting or importing projects. • Rare instances – delete projects. • Creating users and assigning them projects. • Promote certain users to Project Administrator role by giving them administration rights. • Resetting the password if a particular user forgets his password. • Maintaining link with the LDAP server for user credentials (if LDAP is used) • Monitor the number of connections active on the ALM Server and perhaps disconnect a user session based on his idle time. • Manage the licenses of the different modules in ALM and install necessary update patches. • Checking connectivity with the DB Server. • Managing the Log Files and the Log Levels. • Miscellaneous settings related to mailing, mail servers, attachment etc from the Site Configuration tab in ALM. • Tracking the license usage • Managing the Project Planning and Tracking Calculation settings • Raising tickets with HP in case of support requirements.
