I have a passion for technology and computers that I have developed over the last decade and a half into a career that I love. To me tech isn’t just a career, it’s a lifestyle. I am a strong beliver in Holistic Network Design, where all aspects of an environment and it's use are considered. In my current roles I focus mainly around IT/IS Infrastructure, Security & Network Architecture, providing guidance and support to IT departments and all other business departments as needed. I completed my CISSP certification in 2014 and am currently working towards TOGAF certification, along with a number of other CPE/CPD activities around specific technologies. I enjoy the collaboration and comradery of team work, but also enjoy solo work at times. I will always try to give the customer what they need and be helpful, but I’m not afraid to say “no” when it’s needed. I pride myself on good time management and staying on top of all the little details of work I am doing. My primary skills are Infrastructure/Security/Network Design, Systems Administration, Hardware, IT Support, Engineering Support and Web & Applications Design. I enjoy small and medium business work as much as enterprise, and try to bring a little bit of enterprise thinking to smaller business’s when I have the opportunity. I have experience of many fields in IT and pride myself on being able to pick up almost any IT related activity. The above are the areas where I feel my knowledge is strongest, and where I gain the most enjoyment from my work. In my free time I consider myself a “full time geek”, and have an enterprise grade home network which I use as my sandbox for a huge number of IT related activities.
