I am a graduate of the prestigious Cordwainers London College of Fashion with BA(Hons) Cordwainers Accessories: Product Design and Development. I have very specialist skills within leather craft both in hand tooling and in machinery work. My knowledge in the construction of small leather goods and handbags is extensive, ranging from simple T-Base and envelope constructions to more complicated inset gusset and concertina shapes. My strong technical knowledge and love of the conceptual means I understand the best ways to construct a piece, as well as being able to advise and find more interested ways to make. I am fully competent in pattern cutting and sample making, as well as being confident in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; therefore being able to produce full CAD technical specification packs for in-house or factory production. Working out of my studio in North London I have all the machinery and tools required for producing fully finished leather samples; in fact I also do small production runs for a couple of clients as well as producing my own pieces. I work with most of my clients in designing and developing one-off pieces or a range of accessories from their brief, working with them to develop their own vision with my technical knowledge as well as creative eye. I also recommend and source materials appropriate to the product, as well as hardware etc. In the past I have worked for luxury brand Jimmy Choo which was an invaluable insight into the luxury market and since I have kept up to date on luxury trends and developed my own knowledge of the market further to provide the best information to my clients.
