The team at CG Techonology has lost of their developer talent. It was a challenge. They had a multi-million dollar sportsbook to run and barely anybody to maintain their management software. It was particularly challenging since their industry is heavily regulated by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. A big project they absolutely had to deliver was test coverage. Everything needed to be tested. For two years I led their sportsbook development team to tackle ongoing maintenance issues and develop new features. I quickly adopted to their rigorous release process. The biggest win was creating a reliable, automated test suite which massively improved the delivery. As result, CGT started releasing new improvements faster than ever before. Automated testing cut down extensively on quality assurance costs. I also dealt with a lot of internal operations bugs in software, some of which have been impacted the company since the very first day
