Mobile gaming is seemingly a booming market of late, but I have been designing games destined for the web since we were all on 56k modems (back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth). ;) Game design is by far the best kind of work. I particularly enjoy the concept design and the challenge of creating an intuitive interface in order that the game can be played with ease, by those who are not so well versed in gaming. Simplicity, a strong grid structure & uncomplicated layouts, are by far the best formula for creating great looking, professional graphics for games, quickly. I have a tried and tested method for streamlining this process. I prefer subject matter that is both young & playful; I mostly take my inspiration from Scandinavian Design & a Japanese aesthetic called 'Kawaii'. This aside, I am well versed in creating many different styles from photo real to a cartoon. I create my graphics in vector using illustrator, paying particular attention to colour and composition. I use Flash to create my animation and sprite sheets. I enjoy working as a team & I have no problems working remotely.
