North Korea fired eight short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea Sunday, a day after Seoul and Washington concluded their joint exercises near the peninsula with the participation of a US aircraft carrier, according to the South Korean military.The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that "the launches were detected from 9:08 am to 9:43 am (local time) from areas around Sunan in Pyongyang."
