Piergiorgio Palla holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and a received a Master degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cagliari. From 2007 to 2013, he worked as software engineer in the Bionformatic group of the Center for Advanced Studies, Research and Development in Sardinia (CRS4). Then from 2013 to 2016 he worked as data scientist and researcher for the National Research Council in the area of computational biomedical engineering, He also worked as data science consultant and developer for different companies operating in the field of healthcare automation and clinical data traceability. Currently Piergiorgio is working as data scientist for the Sardinian Regional Government where he develops and provides Big Data Analytics methods for tourist behaviour analysis.
