1. MPEG2 to MPEG4 Transcoder Platform - GNU/Linux Language - C Description : This project is basically a research and development project for our future line of products in multimedia. This product gets mpeg2 data and convert it into mpeg4 data on the fly which can help to reduce the high bandwidth and high quality of data, required for streaming multimedia applications. We are planning to have a small chip to provides this transcoding which can be used in embedded product to enhance the quality and reduce bandwidth of multimedia application. Normally if we have to convert mpeg2 to mpeg4. first we have to decode mpeg2 data into yuv or rgb data after that we have to again encode decoded data to mpeg4. so this can consume a lot of time (100-150 milliseconds "intel celeron motheboard, 664 MHz") for real time multimedia application like vod (video on demand), high quality dvd data.
