I offer proofreading and editing services on a 1000 word basis. Writing for either fiction or non-fiction is offered at a per word basis plus a research fee. Transcription services are offered on a per minute basis. Proofreading: Spelling, punctuation and grammar consistency ONLY. Simple Line Editing: Tense consistency and word flow ONLY. This generally includes basic Proofreading. Deep-line Editing: Tense consistency, word flow, sentence/passage re-write and rearrangement of sentences/passages. This service DOES NOT include research or additions to current text. This generally includes basic Proofreading. Ghostwriting: Research, writing, proofreading and editing. This service provides for a single revision after each section of the project has been presented for approval. Primary Transcription: Listening to audio or video in order to transcribe it to text. Text is sent verbatim from transcription including any stutters, fillers, unrelated tangents or repeated words and information. Rate: $1 per minute. Clean Transcription: Primary transcription plus general editing to take out stutters, fillers, unrelated tangents or repeated words and information. Rate: $1 per minute + $10 clean-up fee. Kill Fee: When the scope of a project has changed significantly from the original project agreement, 50% of the original project rate OR up to the current milestone payment, whichever is greater, will be assessed. A new contract with the new scope will be required for the project to move forward. Ownership of any work on which a Kill Fee has been assessed will remain with the provider (me). Only payment in full for a project will see the transfer of ownership. A Kill Fee may also be issued on projects where the client has disappeared or failed to respond to messages for more than 5 days.
