I have worked internationally over the past 30 years with a focus on health and development. Much of this work has included various types of qualitative research including participatory and action research, interviews and focus groups. My role has typically included conceptualizing (including protocols and ethics), conducting/overseeing data collection and analyzing the emerging data. This has included giving direction to actions and strategies, including implications for communication. I hold a PhD in Cultural and Media Studies.
