I spent a fulfilling 10 years as a creative in the advertising industry, striving to create engaging yet innovation experiences for brands. It has been colorful thus far, with each account honing different aspects of my craft. Commercial accounts such as World Class Land Development gave me an opportunity to create a brand identity from scratch, sharpening my skills in visual graphics design. Consumer focused accounts such as Visa gave me exposure on a global scale, working on the activation campaign - #NotaTourist. Leading the pitch for accounts such as Resort World Sentosa has also allowed me to grow in areas of art direction and mentoring. My inner mantra became more affirmed over the years as I understand that “No man is an island”. I believe that productivity begins with good mentorship. A healthy and conducive creative environment gives space for junior roles to grow which more often than not yields unexpected returns. With that, I believe that a good creative culture is often self-initiated and driven by the appreciation of initiatives. When not tangled in the hustle and bustle of the agency, my guilty pleasure is getting a good cup of coffee, plugging into my earpiece, letting my imagination run wild and thinking of the story behind each stranger I’ve seen.
