Recently completed a long term contract at a Fortune 100 financial services firm. My primary responsibilities consisted of a series of longer-term (2-4 month) Access application development projects as well as short-term process automation Excel VBA projects and ad hoc data analyses. My primary projects were the following: • I developed and maintained an Access-based ETL process to update firm-wide user / location / financial code information on a monthly basis in an on-line software asset management tool. The database leveraged VBA to open, format (in Excel), validate and import 20 Excel and CSV documents. The data processing and exporting processes are also driven by event-triggered VBA which keeps training at a minimum for database users. • I developed a scorecard of completion and error rates of scheduled device discovery processes from nightly process logs. The primary scorecard allows users to drill down or up to more or less detailed score information as well as choose the type and date range of the information shown. The “Integration Schedule” allows users to change the cadence of the process schedule that the logs are compared against. • I developed an Access database to track and report software and hardware contracts whose information was spread across six PeopleSoft queries and two SharePoint lists. As with the previously developed applications, event-triggered VBA automatically validated and formatted the PeopleSoft data source files (in Excel) for import into Access. I created detailed audit trail processes for both manual database edits as well as changes found in weekly data imports. I also created Excel macros to split database exports into tabs by manager and apply formatting to create reports. • Created Excel Macros to combine and pivot data from two files to generate the monthly import of leased computers and returned leased computers into SCCD. • Created Outlook scripts to save attachments and pull text from th
