September inflation data announced
TurkStat announced the developments in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September. Accordingly, annual inflation was 83.45 percent in September. The market expectation was for inflation to reach 84.5 percent. In August, annual inflation was announced as 80.21 percent.
In September, consumer prices increased by 3.08 percent compared to the previous month and by 52.4 percent compared to December of the previous year.

Looking at the main expenditure groups, the highest annual increase was experienced in transportation, as in the previous month. The price increase in the transportation group was recorded as 117.66 percent. Food and non-alcoholic beverages followed with an increase of 93.05 percent.
