I've been using SQL at an advanced level for 20 years, focusing mainly on application development. Whatever situation you are in that involves SQL, I believe I can help you solve your issues and/or design something optimal for your needs. Examples of some things I can do include: - Database Design: I can tailor you a database for your specific needs. - Performance Tuning: There are a variety of ways to improve performance in your database. I will help you establish optimal indexing for your data and I can optimize the SQL you are using within your views and ETL processes. - Streamlining various processes and using automation: I have a lot of experience with stored procedures that will often beable to handle what you are trying to bundle together. - Command line batch scripting: I can create scripts to execute your SQL from the command line. This gives you the ability to bundle your SQL with other tasks that can be executed from the command line. It also helps a lot with automation and error handling. - Build repeatable automated scripts: backups, security, ETL processes, logging, refreshing calculations or metadata, etc. - Problem solving: I am very good at tracking doen the reaon why something is failing. I am also very good at taking logic on paper or in tech specs and building it using SQL. My normal rates are $40 - $50 an hour, but for a little while I'm willing to do work for $20 and hour in order to prove that I can deliver good work.
