An architect and urban planner by qualification. Currently working as Senior Executive in Corporate Planning Department at Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited in India since April 2017. GMRC is a Government of Gujarat promoted company to implement various metro rail projects in state of Gujarat (India). I am part of the Corporate Planning department which is the nodal department for planning, coordination, development, implementation and management of metro rail projects in Gujarat. Key involvement in coordination and interface management amongst various departments like Planning & Design, Construction, Compliance, Legal, Management, Policy and Finance for the development of metro rail projects in Ahmedabad – Gandhinagar and Surat in the state of Gujarat (India).

I have accomplished Master of Urban & Regional Planning with the specialization in Land Use (April 2017) & Bachelor of Planning (April 2015) both from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. I have done Diploma of Architecture Assistantship (May-2011) from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, India. During my Master & Bachelor program I did internships as an Urban Planning intern at Stantec Consulting Services Inc., Ahmedabad (May-2014) & Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) (June-2013). Core interest of research during bachelor and master’s program has been on ‘Activity centers – live, work and play concept in Urban Planning and CBD Development’.Currently I am pursuing part-time Ph.D. in Public Administration from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar.

During my Master’s degree program, I have made two international study tours – Japanand Istanbul under the course named “Replenish- Planning Smart Cities of Japan” (May2016) & “Moving towards Megapolis- Istanbul” (Nov.2015). I have also visited many Indian cities under relevant study programs during my Bachelor’s to understand various design and policy aspects of planning. In order to understand planned and sustainable development approaches I have visited countries like UAE and Singapore. I have also delivered few lectures on planning related aspects at the Gujarat Institute of Civil Engineers and Architects.

I have also completed an online certification course on “Housing Policy & Planning” of IIT Roorkee conducted by NPTEL in March2019.Additionally, I have recently enrolled for foundation course on Python from University of Michigan.
