Hello all! My name is Jaro Mayda III and I am a Video Editor. 

I have a solid background in video editing, a diverse skill set in videography, writing, directing, producing, and acting, and a track record of success in the industry, I believe I would be a valuable addition to your creative team.

Having worked as an Editor at JM3 Productions from 2016 to 2023, I have gained extensive experience in editing short films for distribution, managing all pre-production tasks, and delivering high-quality visual content. One of my notable achievements includes editing a multi award-winning short film (which can be found on my website) that received recognition at 14 festivals across two continents. This project showcased my ability to craft compelling narratives and capture the attention of audiences.

During my time with my previous production company Two Horse Films and as a freelance editor, I collaborated with various organizations, including GE, Proctor and Gamble, and Hooters, to name a few. These opportunities allowed me to work on diverse projects, ranging from music videos and promotions to live teleconferencing and image films. I am well-versed in using industry-standard software such as Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, and Microsoft Office.

In addition to my technical skills, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Anthropology with a Film Minor from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and 2 Associate's degree in Film Concentration from Long Beach City College. This educational background, combined with my practical experience, enables me to approach projects with a unique blend of creativity and analytical thinking.

I am a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of self-management. I thrive in collaborative environments and am known for working effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
