SAN Administration – IBM V7000 6.4 and Dell Compellent 6.4, and Cisco MDS 9509. Configure new zones, add new volumes, set up replications, troubleshoot errors, end to end cabling (server to MDS to V7000\Compellent). Install esx, firmware updates, add into vCenter, and add datastores. Work with the network team to get switch ports configured, and open firewall ports. Updated vCenter from 5.0 update 2 to update 3 to allow deployment from 2012 R2 templates. SRM testing. Build\manage templates. P2V’d roughly 20 servers. ?Microsoft – 3rd level troubleshooting of all issues related to OS, DFS, server hardware (CPU, RAM, NIC, etc), FTP, AD, DNS and DHCP. ?Powershell – work with scripts to gather detailed info on VMware environment, and all Windows servers. Made adjustments to VM configuration to increase performance ?Secondary support for Networker, Symantic Netbackup,and Commvault. Some basic Unix support involving ejecting tapes, rebooting servers, mounting volumes.
