Anthony Fauci To Step Down In December

President Joe Biden's Covid advisor Anthony Fauci, America's top infectious disease expert who became the face of the country's fight against the pandemic, announced that he will step down in December. He said in a statement that he would be leaving both his position as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and that of chief medical advisor to Biden -- though he added that he is not retiring. The 81-year-old, who previously disclosed plans to leave by the end of Biden's current term, announced he would go in December to pursue what he called the next chapter of his career.

Musk Subpoenas Ex-Twitter CEO Dorsey

Elon Musk subpoenaed former Twitter Inc. chief executive officer Jack Dorsey as he fights a lawsuit by the company seeking to make him see the $44 billion buyout through. The notice of subpoena came amid a flurry of filings that also included notice of subpoenas served by Musk on the former head of consumer product at Twitter, and the former in charge of revenue product. 

Ukraine's Capital Kyiv Bans Indepencence Day Celebrations

Citing a heightened threat of Russian attack, Ukraine's capital Kyiv has banned public celebrations of independence from Soviet rule...The move comes after a US intelligence official warned of Russian plans to strike Ukrainian infrastructure in the coming days.

Freebies Case: Hearing To Resume In Supreme Court Today

The Supreme Court will resume hearing about the freebies case. Earlier the top court had adjourned the hearing of a plea against promises by political parties to distribute freebies from public funds during election campaigns.
