I would like a chance to build a transcription business as an independent contractor. Until I have had sufficient experience here on Guru, my fee per audio hour will be $14. I have provided transcription service in the past in an office setting, but because it has been a long time, I must start over again. I am eager to build a good feedback rating here on Guru.com! During my most recent full-time employment (1997 - 2006), approximately 25% of my assignments were completed from my home office. I provided routine data entry and document formatting, as well as numerous advanced adminstrative assistant tasks. I can transcribe either audio or video files. My typing rate is 65+ wpm. I will accept up to one hour of training (which may include 30 minutes of actual transcription work) at no cost to you.
