Previous experience has taught me alot of skills in various fields. In my last job of employment, I managed a shop that dealt in men's wear. I managed the shop and pushed the sales to a level of minimum of $15,000 a month. Being part of the sales team, of a group of 5 persons, I was able to be the highest seller at a minimum of $10,000 a month. Meanwhile, I was incharge of record keeping, daily accounts and end of month sales report, credit control, coming up with marketing strategies, client conflict resolution, client follow-up, re-stocking orders overall daily running of the shop. I also hard to come up with a system that was to help in the daily running of the business. The running of this business exposed me to running the business finances so I had to do alot of financial management and decisions and also keeping bank records, credit control, how and when to reorder items. During my previous years, I was able to do alot of company supplies and it involved item branding, photography, advertising, and some acting. To keep up up with the competition, I had to keep up with the fashion trends. this too determined the level of sales, and knowing your clients and target market. During my early years, I loved art and was very much involved in poetry, music and all round art. I did solo poetry presentation, was a music soloist and a very good dancer. this lead to a great interest in writing. I wrote poems and at one time I gave a piece of my work to a competition which was organised by the American Poetry Association which won me an award. I wrote alot of songs despite the fact that I didn't know what to do with them. When it came to essay writing and story telling, I happened to be one of the best during my time. Reading has become one of my favorite pass times today. It has given me alot of exposure in diffrent fields and has helped me in discussions many a time with experts from diffrent fields. I have a great interest in reading books in psychology, and inspirational books. Sometimes, I deal with some teenager at our church in diffrent forums and I apply what I have read and it works. When writing, I have learnt to use diffrent tools such us SEO when doing my writing. this has helped me get the facts right and also makes writing more interesting. I look forward to using my skills in the jobs I will get.
